Other AbstractA n intelligent p lanning and scheduling system fo r earth observat ion satellite is developed.The planning and scheduling system is compo sed of a spacecraft model and a general reasoning engine.The spacecraft model describes spacecraft's st ructure, resources, funct ion and all kinds of const raints impo sed on the spacecraft. The reasoning engine analyzes these const raints and then so lves them to get a rational operation plan. The planning and scheduling system can also iterat ively repair the existing plan to get a new one by adding tasks, delet ing task s and changing task of the exist ing p lan.
