AbstractThe algorithm for retrieving the near surface oceanic wind field using the pencil-beam conical scanning scatterometer was developed. The pencil-beam conical scanning scatterometer is one mode of China spaceborne multi-mode microwave sensors. Our simulations show that the cell at different azimuthal position, the retrieving accuracy is different for the same measurement deviation. At the last, helicopter experiment for backscattering model development has been introduced and preliminary results have been given.
