AbstractHuynen dichotomy is extended to the scattering scenarios of irregularity and non-symmetry for a Huynen canonical dichotomy and further for a generalized Huynen dichotomy based on the wave dichotomy and N-target invariance. The generalized dichotomy includes nine dichotomy sub-algorithms which cover all of the existing Huynen-like dichotomies and can achieve a good consistency with the Cloude decomposition on the extraction of single target scattering.
