AbstractFFT运算是星载海洋雷达高度计实时跟踪处理的重要步骤,现代高分辨率雷达高度计要求处理速度更高,这时如果采用软件来进行FFT运算会导致处理时间过长.考虑到上星的需要,提出了一种采用FPGA技术来硬件实现高度计的FFT运算方法,理论和实验结果证明,采用此技术完全能满足高度计有关精度和处理速度的要求,解决了高分辨率星载雷达高度计控制中的一项关键的技术问题.
Other AbstractThe Spacebo rne O cean Radar A lt imeter is a k ind of act ive m icrow ave remo te sen sing in st rumen t.It is u sed to measu re the distance from the p latfo rm to the ocean su rface,the hight of the ocean w ave and ocean back scatter coefficient. FFT is a key step for the real time track ing and p rocessing of the spacebo rne ocean radar alt imeter. In o rder to improve the measu rement precision, some techn iques, such as,the h igh PRF and large t ime2bandw idth p roduct chirp signal,have been u sed in the modern Radar A ltemeters, and th is direct ly resu lt s in a much higher speed requ irement on the FFT operation.Currently,the processing time will be a bott leneck if FFT is perfo rmed by a DSP processo r that could be used in space environment.In th is paper,a new app roach has been p ropo sed to perform FFT by FPGA ,by which both the processing speed and the precision can meet the requ irement of the spacebo rne alt imeter system. A key p rob lem in the con t ro l of the high resolution Spacebo rne O cean Radar A lt imeter has been so lved by it.
