AbstractThis paper introduces a design and implementation of high speed image data transmission equipment, which adopts SpaceWire protocol. The equipment's SpaceWire interface is realized with FPGA and SpaceWire ASIC, This paper elaborates the asynchronous clock domains control signal and the data signal processing method from the point of reliability design. Even if it doesn't use the SpaceWire transport layer protocol, the equipment also has the reliable erroneous data re-sending ability for the burst error of the link. The test result indicated that this equipment can transmit the image data at 140Mbps and reliably. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
