AbstractThrough several years of standardization and technology development activities, ESA has prepared the SpaceWire technology that allows embarking high speed data networks on board spacecraft [1]. With the space network becoming more complicated and its application diversified, we can no longer simply rely on the experience to do network planning and researching. The SpW-D is the high-level protocol draft of SpaceWire which is not finish yet. But recently years, there are a lot of people researches on this. OPNET is currently most widely used software in network simulation. In this paper, we use the OPNET to make models for simulating the SpW-D draft. The result of simulation proved SpW-D standard is indeed valid.
