Random vibration analysis of the Deployable Structure for Satellite Antenna

AbstractIn this paper, the random vibration theory based on the finite element is briefly described; the appropriate finite element model of the Deployable Structure for Satellite Antenna (DSSA) is created. In order to assess the random vibration characteristic and the performance of the DSSA in the dynamic environment, the responses of the DSSA are analyzed. The responses are obtained by the respective random vibration analysis of X, Y, and Z directions, and by the analysis of the root mean square and the power spectrum density of the acceleration response. The results show that, although the DSSA can bear the random vibration load, the structural weaknesses are existence.
