Abstract | Ku band shaped pattern fan beam high gain spaced-borne slotted waveguide array is optimized and analyzed. The total array is composed by 16 partitions. Half height waveguides are used to reduce the slotted waveguide array weight. The waveguide wall thickness, coupling among the slots, circle end slots and other factors are all taken into account during the design process. The total array is fastened by screws, The dimension of the array is about 2.18m*0.34m*0.025m. Planar near field tests show that the gain is 38.7dB, sidelobe levels are -16dB and -17dB for the two main planes respectively,at the same time, the vswr bandwidth is larger than 40MHz(vswr <= 1.5). |
