Abstract | The remote sensing technique using X band and K band microwave signals between two Low-Earth-Orbit(LEO-LEO) satellites can characterize atmosphere temperature, humidity and pressure from low troposphere up to mesosphere without auxiliary background information. This paper firstly introduces the principle of the technique and then our LEO-LEO occultation system is presented. To achieve demanded amplitude and phase measurement precision, the structure and features of the LEO-LEO receiver are introduced. The transmitter and receiver have been basically completed. The ground test will be done within a few months. |
