AbstractA miniaturized muti-band second-order frequency selective surface based on vias is proposed in this paper. The proposed structure consists of two metallic layers connected by metallized vias, and the two metallic layers have the same patterns. The size of the proposed FSS cell is 0.11 lambda x0.11 lambda x0.047 lambda, where. corresponds to the free space wavelength at the center of the lowest operation frequency. Simulation results show that the proposed structure has muti-band characteristics under normal and oblique incidence.
