AbstractIn this paper, we present a new design of high speed hyperspectral microwave radiometer subsystem. This subsystem has good flexibility and can achieve high vertical resolution of atmospheric profile. Firstly, some basic theories associated with this design are simply described. Secondly, the structure of this hardware design which has an ADC with 10Gsps sampling rate and a KINTEX-7 FPGA chip with more than 4000 channels is introduced. This subsystem can transform 4GHz bandwidth analog signals to digital signals. And it is easy to integrate with several these subsystems to achieve high processing frequency bandwidth. Thirdly, polyphase algorithm which can reduce the rate of processing high speed digital signal is described. And it makes processing high speed digital signals on an FPGA chip easily. Finally, some simulation results are provided to present the subsystem has obvious advantages, such as the high flexibility, miniaturization, high vertical resolution in getting atmospheric information.
