Other AbstractThe concept and goals fo r autonomous spacecrafts are defined. The spacecraft autonomous control system is compared w ith the t radit ional spacecraft cont ro l system. The advantages of autonomous control are given. Then we describe the technical overview of autonomous cont ro land on-board data processing from 4 aspects.The autonomy arch itecture of spacecraft,w h ich integrates all k inds of autonomy function,is part icular impo rtant for autonomous spacecrafts to wo rk efficient ly.So two different st ructures developed by NA SA are discussed firstly. Then, th ree impo rtant techno logies of autonomy are int roduced respect ively.First,two k inds of intelligent planning and scheduling methods are discussed. Second,model-based fault diagno sis and system reconst ruct ion are discussed.Third,two examp les of on-board data p rocessing are int roduced. At last,w e discuss the related techno logies w ith autonomy.
