AbstractWe present a model for the formation of relativistic electron spectrum in impulsive and long-duration solar hares. We investigate effects of the coronal plasma wake field acceleration, which is excited by higher energy electrons in solar hares, on the retivistic electron spectra. The obtained results successfully explain both the observed steeping of electron spectra below a few MeV following impulsive solar hares taking place at low coronal heights and the power law spectra of electrons in long-duration solar flares occurring in high coronal heights. It also can explain the difference between relativistic electron spectra in the two types of solar flares.
